Our property is located at Oxford where we have 20 acres of fertile former dairy pasture, which we have set up for our horse breeding operation. Oxford is a small town, nestled under the foothills of the Southern Alps and is only 45 minutes from our nearest city, Christchurch. Once very quiet, Oxford is now famous for being the home of Jo Seagars Cooking School and cafe.
We are however, currently living in the beautiful Lees Valley, 45 minutes inland from Oxford on Mt Pember Station. This magnificent station is a great place to live and work and we are enjoying the lifestyle in here.
We are aiming to produce quality, well-handled young sport horses, with a preference for Irish sport horses. We are breeding to sell, generally as unbroken, ready for you to continue their education in your chosen discipline. We enjoy showing our youngsters inhand so where possible the youngsters are taken "out and about" as part of their handling as foals or yearlings.
We have now bred several mares to the RID stallion Coalman's Touch, and have been delighted with all the foals. They all possess those wonderful irish temperaments and have stunning movement. And making it all worth while, they are now proving themselves under saddle showing themselves to be extremely talented jumpers.
We hope you enjoy your visit to our website -- and maybe you will find the young horse of your dreams!
