Youngstock

This page showcases our youngstock that we will be retaining for future breeding and/or riding careers.

Coleraine Remembrance Coleraine Hope, filly born 2 November 2004 by Corlando (Holst) out of Cee Cee (by Genius).

Orphaned at 1 week old when her dam died, we went on a real learning curve when attempts to mother her onto a foster mare failed. However, with invaluable help from family and friends, Hope was successfully reared on milk replacer. Our life saver was our retired gelding, Binty who become her “mother” in everything bar feed. Binty was so good at his job, that Hope is a young horse not a person, which is great as it is often the downfall of hand reared foals. A different type than our irish foals, Hope is developing into a very nice youngster with that stunning warmblood movement. She is looking like she will mature to at least 16.2hh which is fantastic. We intend to retain Hope for her exciting bloodlines with a riding career likely before she is retired to breed from.

Coleraine RemembranceColeraine Remembrance filly b 14/11/04 by Coalmans' Touch (RID) out of Irish Mist (Irish sport horse by Kingsway Diamond (RID))

This filly is our first home bred 3/4 bred irish filly and we are absolutely delighted with her. Mindi as we call her, has superb conformation and movement and that wonderful irish temperament. Mindi has been to her first show at just 3 months of age and was placed 2nd in both her classes, handling the whole day with no fuss at all. We will be using Mindi in the future to breed up to 7/8 irish and also plan a ridden career for her as a possible future hack for our daughter Georgia to ride.

Rothery London

Rothery London

Rothery London filly b 29/10/2002 by Coalman's Touch (RID) out of Wynyard Irish Fleur (licensed irish mare by Laughtons Legend (RID) and bred by Sue Anderson).

Rothery London

We purchased London in October 2004 as the perfect addition to our broodmare team. London is 3/4 bred irish and her dam was a very well performed irish sport horse.

London has lovely movement and showed real talent when freejumped recently. We plan to have London inspected to become a licensed mare to enable us to breed up to 7/8 with her. She will also be backed shortly with the view of a ridden career for her as well.
